Emergency Preparedness
- This webpage is for the support of Northern Kaysville, Mutton Hollow-Crestwood neighborhoods to provide a useful and informative website for the community. We will provide helpful emergency preparedness information to include videos and useful printable information sheets to allow you to create a useful Emergency Preparedness binder for your family. This information can be used to discuss courses of action incase there is an emergency. After living in Okinawa for 11 years with 4 - 6 typhoons a year and the occasional larger earthquake I've seen what being prepared can do for an individual, couple or family.
- Ensure all family members now what to do in case of an emergency. Remember that it may not be the same for all family members but will depend on the age of the child. Ensure that even the youngest knows where to go and what to do. It will lower the stress and instill a sense of helping within our young children during a real emergency.
- Many of our emergency preparedness plans don't ensure our spouses are aware of how to turn off power, gas or water to your home. An emergency may strike when a husband/father may not be home and the training our spouses and children can save someones life or minimize property damage. I will provide videos demonstrating how to turn off these utilities in an emergency.
