Note: The base rate above reflects the water increase for 2018 ($30) which went into effect 1 Jan 2018. The base rate will increase again in 2020 to $35 per month. The capital improvement fund above had a $6 a month increase which was effective 1/1/2019.
The increases are due to a new state law that requires the main water suppliers to invest more money into their infrastructure. We purchase our water from Weber Basin Water and due to their price increases we must pass them on to our customers.

Sewer Service is charged only if you live within the North Davis Sewer District. The current sewer service charge is $22.25 a month which comes to 44.50 for a Mutton Hollow Improvement District billing cycle (two month cycle).
If you have a larger bill than expected you may have a leak. Customers are responsible for the water used from the meter to the house. You can check for a leak by turning off the water in your home. Open the meter cover and watch the needle. if it continues to move after turning off all the water then you most likely have a leak between the meter and the house. You can contact Board Members and will be happy to verify the suspected leak.
This video describe how to use your meter to determine if you have a leak. We have very few of these analog meters in our system and you will likely have a digital meter. Instead of a leak detection wheel your numbers will continue to increment up as you watch your meter.
